Giorgio,
We wanted to thank you for this beautiful place you have available. We had a great time at home and have visited many.
The village is very nice too.
We hope you are well and that you will continue to maintain the house. We enjoyed your company and your kindness. It would be nice that the city do the work for the water pressure to resolve the concerns of showers and dishwashers.
The pig is it fat?
We lost the videos we made when visiting different parts of the house. Coralie has mistakenly deleted from his computer, too bad.
The way back it is passed, it rained Saturday night and Sunday in Valencia on the road, after the hot weather it was a surprise.
We concluded that we probably will return to Seville in April by plane. We could not visit the city well as it fesait 47 °, it was really too hot to visit. The best is to come to visit in April-May or September-October, is not it?
I kiss you,
Valérie.

High in the hills above Malaga lies the sleepy Andalucian town of Almogia. A couple of hundred yards beyond this white-washed, typically Spanish mountain village lies the Cortijo Te Verde.
Run by its equally charming owner Giorgio, the Cortijo offers the rare opportunity of truly getting away from the modern rat race.
Each of the property's seven bedrooms is decorated quite differently, but all contain sturdy rustic furniture, and offer a comfortable and cosy environment. The same can be said about the communal areas such as the two living rooms, one complete with library, and bathrooms, which are strategically and conveniently positioned arond the house.
The property also boasts a considerable range of facilities, which among other things include a swimming pool, barbecue area, nightclub-style bar, and children's play area.
All of this is set within a lovely plot of well maintained land, with the owner Giorgio, growing his own figs, apples, herbs and of course, green tea (Te Verde).
Despite the serene feeling of isolation however, the (very) nearby village shops offer the day to day basics, and the local bars and restaurants serve quintessential dishes for a very low price. The city of Malaga isn't too far either, 25-30 minutes. The local taxi driver Jose, was kind enough to give us his number and reassured us that we could call him at any time of the day or night to drive us to or from Malaga, in his old Mercedes with nearly a million kilometres on the clock!
The Cortijo Te Verde is the genuine article; a quiet retreat in the Andalucian monutains with freindly neighbouring villagers and stunning views. If you are looking to get away from it all, but require homely comfort and helpful hospitality, then this is the place for you.

Relaxingly rural
We did not really know what to expect when arriving at the Cortijo, we had seen the website and were guided by the positive reviews on this site. We were a party of 12 adults from Gibraltar, between 23 and 29 looking for a restful weekend but needed to be close to Malaga to go to a concert on the Saturday night. We stumbled across Giorgio and the Cortijo through this website and we were not disappointed.
The Cortijo is a rural country house, with plenty of character. The Cortijo is less than 15 minutes walk away from picturesque 15th century white washed town of Almogia, which is a classic Andalucian mountain town, population approximately 4,400 people who were welcoming to us. For the sum of EUR7.00 you could get a three course workers lunch at a particular local restaurant, which is simple but very nice. Cost of living is generally cheap and the locals are chatty and always willing to help. Almogia gives you a true picture of what simple village mountain life is all about in Andalucia. It has a number of local shops where you can get most things cheaply though the nearest big supermarket is 25 minutes drive down the mountain.
Giorgio, the owner of the Cortijo, has lovingly nurtured the plants and the surroundings throughout this beautiful plot of land to make it feel like you are truely away from the rat-race of day to day life.
All the essentials to live were available, together with a few little extras like a pool table, plenty of books, a few dvds and an internet connection which we did not use. It was nice to get away from work, television and media and spend time in each other's company and also walking in the stunning mountain paths around the Cortijo!
I mentioned the concert as Giorgio stopped at nothing to ensure that we were able to get taxis down to Malaga and to ensure that we had everything we needed in terms of essentials. He also has bicycles available to cycle around.
The essence, in my view of Cortijo Te Verde and the facility Giorgio offers is a get away, to lose the hustle and bustle of day to day life and be at one with yourself, your friends/family and your surroundings. He makes you feel welcome without intruding and he's always available. Visiting the Cortijo is all about getting a true feel of life in the 'campo' (Spanish countryside). The Cortijo and Almogia are far cry from the extravegance and oppulence of places like Puerto Banus, but you don't go to Almogia for that life.

Very relaxing
I stayed at this villa last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it and it's surroundings. The views are magnificent and the owner is the friendliest and most accommodating person you could wish to meet.
The buildings and surroundings are rustic and interiors are clean, modern and charming.
The property has quite a bit of land to explore, and walking up the hill behind it enables you to take in breathtaking views of the countryside. Everywhere you walk there are fruit bearing trees and vines from figs and olives, to melons and pumpkins and even a pepper tree!
I am planning to go back again this year.

An experience I want to repeat
I brought my family to share an anniversary celebration here and had a wonderful long weekend. we had time to relax, enjoy leisurely breakfasts and time together in truly beautiful Andalucian countryside. It felt like we were totally home and very comfortable at all times and while we were pretty much out in the open we still had access to basic town needs if we really wanted more action - personally I never felt the need.
As long as Georgio is there i know that visitors will enjoy the same experience my family remember
